Introduction and precautions for particle trap DPF
Currently, Euro 5/6 models have a device called a particulate filter (DPF).
It actually helps us filter the particulate matter in the exhaust gas when we discharge it. You can usually recognize it through the black smoke at the rear of a diesel vehicle.
But most new cars now rarely have this kind of black smoke, because new cars have particle trap equipment to help you store the particles in the waste and then screen them. After the DPF is installed, there is generally no need to manage it. It, DPF will help you filter particulate matter
However, DPF is not a panacea after all. After being used for a long time, the particulate matter inside will accumulate. When there are more and more pollutants inside, it will become clogged.
But everyone is just worried when the DPF is clogged. An alarm warning light will appear on the system.
The following is the solution for the warning light
1. White warning light: It means that the DPF is about to become clogged. You can use two methods to deal with it:
1) When you are driving on the highway, you can continue driving on the highway without managing the warning lights. When driving at high speed, our DPF will automatically regenerate (active regeneration), which will cause the fault light to turn on. disappear
2) In another case, stop the car and press the regeneration function on the system (on the dashboard)
2. Yellow warning light: Stop the car for regeneration. Regeneration conditions:
1) Start the vehicle and idle
2) Manual brake
3) Safe place for regeneration function
3. Red warning light: In this case, you cannot solve it yourself. You need to contact the repair shop or contact the official
1) If you use their instrument for regeneration, it can be used normally after the regeneration is completed.
2) After the repair is completed, it cannot be used normally and the DPF needs to be replaced.
